A week in Brianza

Brianza has supplied cabinetmakers to Milano for three centuries, and the four workshops we return to are each still run by the family that founded them. We spent a week moving between them as the pieces for two residences came together: a run of walnut panelling clamped and curing in one room, a brass fitting being hand-filed in another.

Nothing here is produced to a catalogue. Each piece is drawn for a specific room, in a specific house, and is never made twice.
