Private office, Zug

A single-owner office above the lake, built for one person who reads more than he meets. The brief asked for a room that would not need updating as trends passed through it, so the material list is short: smoked oak, cast bronze, plaster the colour of the stone outside. Shelving runs the full height of the room and was fitted in sections too heavy to carry through the stairwell, so each piece was built in the workshop to the exact millimetre and assembled in place over four days.
