A chalet in the Engadin
A working farmhouse for four generations before it came to us, the chalet kept its original larch frame and lost almost everything inside it. The brief was to build a house for one family that still felt built by many hands over a long time, so we worked only with ateliers already established in the valley: the same joiner who maintains the church roof, a stonemason three villages over. Low light, low furniture, and a single long table are the only additions on the ground floor; the rest is the structure, restored.
