“I design rooms that are meant to be lived in for thirty years.”

I trained as an architect in Milano and spent a decade working on other people’s houses before I started building my own practice around a simple idea: that a room is only finished when it no longer needs you. I do not design for a launch date or a photograph. I design for the morning, ten years on, when the light still falls correctly and the table still feels like it was always there.

Most of what I know about material came from watching the people who work it — joiners, stonemasons, casters of bronze — correct my drawings on site. The studio is small by choice. I would rather turn down a project than hand it to someone who has not stood in the room.

Architecture

New builds and full restorations, from the first sketch of the plan through to the last fitting on site.

Interiors

Rooms built around how a family actually lives in them, not around a moodboard photographed once and never touched again.

Objects

Furniture and lighting drawn for a specific room, made by the same ateliers that build the interiors.

Zürich and Milano, the craftsmanship network

Zürich · Milano — the craftsmanship network

The studio is based between Zürich, where most clients are, and Milano, where almost everything is made. Every bespoke piece passes through the same handful of ateliers in Brianza — cabinetmakers, casters and upholsterers the studio has worked with for years, chosen project by project rather than kept on staff.
